Bertrand Russell (1872–1970) was a British philosopher, logician, mathematician, historian, and social critic, recognized as one of the 20th century's foremost thinkers. He co-authored "Principia Mathematica," a pivotal work in logic and mathematics. Russell won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1950 for his extensive contributions to various fields. A passionate advocate for peace, he opposed both world wars and nuclear weapons. His thoughts on physics, religion, science, morality, and metaphysics have profoundly shaped Western philosophy.
