Chase Hughes is an American author, speaker, and specialist in human behavior, influence, persuasion, and behavioral profiling. He served for approximately 20 years in the United States military before retiring in 2019 and moving into teaching and consulting full-time. Hughes is best known for developing training systems designed to help people understand, predict, and influence human behavior, with applications in areas such as leadership, interrogation, sales, negotiation, and communication. He is the author of several books on behavioral skills, including *The Ellipsis Manual* and *The Behavior Ops Manual*. Hughes also provides training through his Neuro-Cognitive Intelligence (NCI) program and has gained a large public audience through podcasts, interviews, online educational content, and appearances discussing body language, persuasion, confidence, and human behaviour.
