Dame Darcy is an American cartoonist, writer, and musician. Born in 1971 in Idaho, she gained recognition in the 1990s for her comic book series, "Meat Cake." Her work, often described as Gothic and Victorian-inspired, has a distinct aesthetic that combines elements of fantasy, feminism, and historical fiction. In addition to her comics, Dame Darcy has published graphic novels and has made a mark in the world of music and performance art. Her multi-faceted creativity continues to be celebrated by a cult following.
