George Harrison was an English musician, singer, songwriter, and cultural figure best known as the lead guitarist of the Beatles. As a member of the band, he contributed a distinctive melodic guitar style and became an increasingly important songwriter, with works such as “Something,” “Here Comes the Sun,” and “While My Guitar Gently Weeps.” His music often blended rock, pop, folk, Indian classical music, and spiritual themes. After the Beatles, Harrison had a successful solo career, most notably with the album All Things Must Pass, which established him as a major artist in his own right. He was also known for helping introduce Indian music and spirituality into Western popular culture, particularly through his collaborations with Ravi Shankar and his interest in Hindu philosophy. Beyond music, Harrison was involved in film production, charity work, and large-scale benefit concerts, including the Concert for Bangladesh. He is widely remembered as a thoughtful, spiritually curious, and influential figure in twentieth-century popular music.

QUOTES

Quote
It's being here now that's important. There's no past and there's no future. Time is a very misleading thing. All there is ever, is the now. We can gain experience from the past, but we can't relive it; and we can hope for the future, but we don't know if there is one.
Quote
You can be standing right in front of the truth and not necessarily see it, and people only get it when they're ready to get it.
Quote
I believe what it says in the scriptures and in the Bhagavad Gita: 'Never was there a time when you did not exist, and there never will be a time when you cease to exist.'
Quote
The purpose of life is to find out 'Who am I?', 'Why am I here?' and 'Where am I going?'
