Werner Heisenberg, born in 1901, was a notable German physicist best known for his formulation of the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle, a cornerstone of quantum mechanics. This principle asserts that it is impossible to precisely measure both the position and momentum of a particle simultaneously. Awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1932, Heisenberg also developed matrix mechanics, an early quantum theory formulation. Heisenberg's contributions profoundly influenced modern physics, shaping our understanding of atomic and subatomic processes.

QUOTES

Quote
Not only is the Universe stranger than we think, it is stranger than we can think.
Quote
What we observe is not nature itself, but nature exposed to our method of questioning
Quote
The reality we can put into words is never reality itself.
Quote
The atoms or elementary particles themselves are not real; they form a world of potentialities or possibilities rather than one of things or facts.
Quote
There are things that are so serious that you can only joke about them.
